At our August meeting, Alan Aylward will give a talk titled “Aurorae”.
Prof Alan Aylward is an Emeritus Professor of Atmospheric Physics in the Dept of Physics & Astronomy at University College London.
His research covers ionospheric research, thermospheric research and modelling the Earth’s thermosphere and ionosphere, but including modelling of planetary thermospheres (Mars, Titan, Jupiter, Saturn) and later modelling of exoplanet atmospheres.
The Meeting will start at 7.45pm. The hall doors are open from 7:00pm and members are welcome to attend from this time to assist, set up the hall and socialise.
