Horsehead B33 The Horsehead Nebula, a part of the optical nebula IC434 and also known as Barnard 33, was first recorded in 1888 on a photographic plate taken at the Harvard College Observatory. The Horsehead nebula is impossible to see from Hayes through the C8, but the CCD camera cuts through the light pollution to reveal this gem. I was surprised by how big the object appears remembering that B33 is about 1600 light-years. Link-words: Nebula

Horsehead B33
